The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Beijing celebrated Qatar sports day 2019 in Chao Yang Olympic Park. The embassy event was attended by Ambassador H.E. Mr. Sultan S Almansouri, diplomats and embassy staff, Qatari students studying at Chinese universities in Beijing and members of Qatar Gas office in Beijing.

In a speech, the ambassador stressed the importance of the Sport Day, which reflects the awareness of the State and its leaders about the importance of consolidating the values of sport in society to build a healthy and vibrant society.

He said Qatar seeks to a global sport hub and with the country hosting the World Cup in 2022, authorities have spared no effort to support sports at all levels in the belief that sport educates young people and generations and builds a healthy and vibrant society.
