H.E. Mr. Mohamed Al-Dehaimi, Qatari Ambassador to China, met with Mr. Fan Ruiping, Member of the Standing Committee of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee, at the landmark Tianfu Conference Center in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, on Tuesday (June 8), 2021.
The ambassador delivered his sincere congratulations to the upcoming centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), hailing the remarkable achievements the CPC has made in both the national and international communities.

H.E. also appreciated the efforts taken by both sides for the great improvements of bilateral relations that have fostered the mutual cooperation on energies, economy, business, finance and people-to-people exchanges.

During the meeting, the ambassador highlighted that his visit to Chengdu has been paid to respond to and implement the concrete measures for the bilateral cooperation on economy, business and employment proposed by Mr. Fan during his visit to Qatar in 2019.

Mr. Fan stressed that Chengdu has played an increasingly important role in China as its population of permanent residents has increased to 20.9 million, a growth essential to local economic development.
