A high-resolution documentary synonymously named “Sunshine Road” from a Arabic literature by Mr. Ali Ghanem A.F.Al-Hajri, the consul-general of the Qatari General Consulate in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, was kicked off shooting on the occasion of the 616th anniversary of Chinese navigator Zheng He’s journey setting sail from China’s southeastern Jiangsu to the west on July 11,2021
The documentary, scheduled to be aired by 2023, has been filmed to commemorate the legendary voyager’s great journeys while focusing particularly on the ancient routes from China to Qatar in that remote age.
Paying tribute to the epochal navigations, Mr.Al-Hajri pointed out in yesterday’s inauguration that, thanks to the great proposal of Belt and Road Initiative, Qatar and China are developing increasingly closer relations and extending greater cooperation in the sectors, including, economy, trade, energy, infrastructure and high technologies.
